DAY 1: CUSCO - PLANETARIUM CUSCO SITE - CUSCO:
You will meet at the office at 5:30PM. Once the group has all arrived you will begin the short drive to the Planetarium (approx. 15 mins). This is a bilingual tour. (We ask for patience as the guides are part of the local family and have learned English especially to teach you about the stars!). You will receive a history lesson and then enter the small domed planetarium (both indoors) to further gain knowledge about the constellations and their creation. They will explain how science and imagination came together to give us what we know today as our constellations! Finally, you will head outside to view stars, planets, the moon and constellations that are visible that day through the telescopes. After the tour, you will head back to Cusco and be dropped off near the main Plaza de Armas. The total tour takes about 2.5-3 hours depending on group sizes.
