ITINERARY

Day 1: Cusco - Pisac - Ollantaytambo - Aguas Calientes (B-L):

We will pick you up from your accommodation in Cusco between 7:30 – 8:00 am and begin the journey through the beautiful Sacred Valley of the Incas.

  • Pisac: Our first stop will be the town of Pisac, where you will visit the impressive Pisac ruins and explore the traditional local market. Your guide will show you the most remarkable viewpoints and cultural highlights.
  • Urubamba: The trip continues for about 45 minutes until we reach Urubamba, where you will enjoy a buffet lunch of local dishes.
  • Ollantaytambo: After lunch, we head to Ollantaytambo, Guided visit of the ruins (Temple of the Sun, Moon & ceremonial terraces)

In the afternoon, you will board the Voyager train to Aguas Calientes (approx. 1.5 hrs). Upon arrival, our guide will meet you at the train station and assist with check-in at your accommodation. Depending on time, you may explore the town, shop for souvenirs, or visit the local hot springs before resting for the night.

Day 2: Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Cusco (B):

After an early breakfast at your hotel, you will take a 30-minute bus ride up to the entrance of Machu Picchu. Here, you will enjoy a guided tour of the archaeological site, where you will learn about the history, architecture, and culture of this remarkable Inca citadel.

Following the tour, you will return by bus to Aguas Calientes, where you will have free time for lunch (not included).

Later in the afternoon, you will board your train back to Ollantaytambo (departure time indicated on your ticket). Upon arrival, private transport will be waiting to drive you back to Cusco, with drop-off at the Plaza de Armas. The exact arrival time will depend on your train schedule.

Day 3: Cusco City Tour - Puno (B-D):

Pick up at 12:45pm. The tour begins with a visit to Cusco Cathedral, renowned for its rich history, colonial architecture, and valuable works of art. Next, we explore Qoricancha (Temple of the Sun), the most important Inca temple dedicated to their deities. This sacred site showcases the exquisite stonework of the Incas and later Spanish influence when it was converted into the Santo Domingo Convent.

We then continue to the impressive Sacsayhuamán esplanade, famous for its massive megalithic stone walls, some weighing over 100 tons, assembled with astonishing precision.

The tour continues to nearby archaeological sites:

  • Q’enqo – a ceremonial site with carved rocks and underground passages.
  • Puca Pucara – a military checkpoint and fortress offering panoramic valley views.
  • Tambomachay – known as the “Temple of Water,” with sacred fountains and aqueducts.

The tour concludes back at Cusco’s Plaza de Armas (Main Square), the heart of the city.

21:15 pm - Pick up at your selected location. Transfer to the bus station to board a sleeper overnight bus to Puno (7 hrs).

Day 4: Puno - Lake Titi Caca Tour (Uros - Taquile) - Cusco (B-L):

Upon arrival, you will be picked up and transferred to a hostel where you will have time to rest before beginning your trip. At approximately 6:40 AM, we will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the port of Lake Titicaca. After a 30-minute boat ride, After a 30-minute ride, you will visit these unique man-made islands built entirely of totora reeds. Here you will learn about the traditions, daily life, and culture of the Uros people. Then, we head to Taquile, arriving at approximately 11:30 AM, where we will take a 40-minute walk to the village. For 2 hours, we will explore Taquile, admiring its landscape, craftsmanship, and the ancestral customs of the islanders. We will enjoy a local lunch before returning by boat to Puno at approximately 4:30 PM. The rest of the afternoon is free for you to relax or explore the city of Puno.

21:15 pm - Pick up at the hostel. Transfer to the bus station to board a sleeper overnight bus to Cusco (7 hrs).

Day 5: Cusco:

05:30 AM – Arrival in Cusco

Upon arrival at the Cusco bus station, our representative will meet you and transfer you to your accommodation. The rest of the day is free for you to rest, acclimatize to the altitude, or explore Cusco at your own pace.

Day 6: Moray and Salt Mines bus tour:

08:00 AM – Pick-up from your accommodation in Cusco and departure towards the Sacred Valley.

  • Visit the agricultural terraces of Moray, an impressive Inca laboratory where different microclimates were created to adapt crops to high-altitude conditions.
  • Continue to the village of Maras, known for its colonial architecture and scenic views of the Sacred Valley.
  • Explore the Maras Salt Mines (Salineras), a fascinating complex of over 3,000 salt ponds that have been in use since Inca times.

In the afternoon, return to Cusco, arriving at approximately 2:00 PM. The rest of the afternoon is free for you to relax or explore the city center.

  • Small backpack to carry essentials during excursions.
  • Camera or smartphone for photos.
  • Sun protection: hat, sunglasses, and high-SPF sunscreen.
