ATV Tour to Rainbow Mountain & Red Valley

Your day begins early with pickup from your hotel in Cusco (around 4:30 a.m.) and a scenic drive south through picturesque valleys and traditional Andean villages. Enjoy a hearty breakfast in Cusipata before continuing to Laya, the starting point of your ATV adventure.

After a short safety briefing, hop on your quad bike (ATV) and start the ride of a lifetime! Feel the adrenaline as you drive across winding dirt roads and open highland trails, surrounded by spectacular views of the endless mountain landscapes.

After about 30 minutes of riding, you’ll arrive at the final stop. From here, begin a 30–45-minute moderate hike to the Red Valley viewpoint — a stunning geological formation famous for its deep red mountains, colored by natural iron oxide in the soil.

Continue your journey to the summit of Rainbow Mountain (5,000 m / 16,400 ft), where you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of Vinicunca’s vibrant stripes and the majestic Ausangate Glacier. It’s a moment of pure wonder — an experience you’ll never forget!

Enjoy free time for photos and to appreciate the breathtaking scenery before hiking back to the ATVs and riding back to Laya. Lunch is served in Cusipata before your return trip to Cusco, arriving around 5:00 p.m.
