DAY 1: CUSCO-PISAC-URUBAMBA-OLLANTAYTAMBO:
The tour begins with a pickup from your hotel in Cusco at 7:30 am. You'll then embark on a scenic drive through the breathtaking Andean landscapes towards the Sacred Valley.
First, you will visit the archeological site of Pisac. At this place, you will see and learn about different aspects of the Inca culture. Here you can see amazing artwork etched into the stone and the impressive agricultural terraces. After exploring this magnificent place, we will drive back to Pisac small town where you will have free time to walk around and do some shopping.
You will continue your journey towards Urubamba for a delicious buffet lunch of typical Peruvian dishes. After lunch, you will continue with our adventure to Ollantaytambo. You will visit the archeological site. This site highlights the remarkable Inca architecture that was built during the Incas heydays. This is an extraordinary Inca site and in addition to the ruins, you will see an amazing rock formation representing the Inca God Wiracocha. Finally, here you spend the night at your hotel in Ollantaytambo, ready to start the Inca Trail hike the next day.
DAY 2: OLLANTAYTAMBO-KM 104-SUN GATE-MACHU PICCHU-AGUAS CALIENTES:
Early Morning - Pick-up from your hotel in Ollantaytambo (around 5:45 – 6:00 AM). Train ride to Km 104 (starting point of the trek). Here you will check-in at the Inca Trail control point, then visit Chachabamba ruins (small ceremonial Inca site) and start with a gradual ascent along the ancient stone path. You will pass by a small waterfalls, cloud forest, and scenic viewpoints. After 3 hours you will reach to the beautiful Wiñay Wayna ruins, one of the best-preserved Inca terraces. You will learn about Inca history and agriculture from your guide. Here you will rest & enjoy a box lunch with breathtaking views. After lunch you continue with the final 1.5-hour up /down section of the trail. In the afternoon you will arrive at Inti Punku (Sun Gate, 2,720m / 8,924ft), which is the first panoramic view of Machu Picchu. Then enter Machu Picchu with a short descent into Machu Picchu’s upper terraces, and stop for photos before heading to Aguas Calientes (main tour is on Day 2). You will be later boarding a bus to Aguas Calientes town to check into your accommodation. Free time for the hot spring (optional), Dinner time where where the guide will also review plans and arrangements for the next day.

DAY 3: AGUAS CALIENTES-MACHU PICCHU-CUSCO:
Early start is essential to make the most of your visit to Machu Picchu. You'll take a short bus ride from Aguas Calientes to the entrance of Machu Picchu. Here a guided tour of Machu Picchu follows, providing you with insights into the history, architecture, and significance of this remarkable Inca citadel. After the tour, you'll return to Aguas Calientes by bus. You will get some free time for lunch (not included), get souvenirs etc. Later in the day, you'll board the train back to Ollantaytambo and then continue by bus to Cusco. The tour concludes with your return to Cusco in the evening around 7:00 pm.
OPTIONAL TO ADD ON YOUR TREK: Huayna Picchu (Waynapicchu) is the iconic peak towering behind Machu Picchu, offering stunning panoramic views of the ruins and surrounding Andes. The hike is steep and challenging, with narrow stone stairways. It’s also an exhilarating but rewarding hike for those looking for an extra adventure at Machu Picchu!
