DAY 01: CUSCO - MORAY - SALT MINES - CUSCO:
Your tour will likely start with a pickup from your accommodation in Cusco or a designated meeting point around 8:00-8:30 am. Begin your journey with a scenic drive to the Moray archaeological site. During the drive, your guide might provide insights into the history and significance of the sites you'll be visiting:
Moray Archaeological Site: An Inca archaeological site featuring circular terraced depressions that were used for agricultural experimentation. Explore the site, learn about its historical context, and take in the stunning views of the surrounding mountains. After visiting Moray, continue your drive to the Salineras de Maras. Along the way, you might pass through picturesque landscapes and traditional villages.
Salineras de Maras (Salt Mines): Arrive at the salt mines and marvel at the thousands of salt pools cascading down the hillside. Learn about the traditional salt extraction process that has been practiced here for centuries. After exploring the sites you'll return to Cusco in the afternoon around 2:30 pm.
